Internet Advertising Revenue Q1 2011
The IAB, in conjunction with Price Waterhouse Cooper, has released quarter 1 data for internet advertising revenue. The bottom line is a solid 23% increase in revenue over the same period in 2010. The full release can be found here.
2010 Internet Advertising Revenue Report
The Internet Advertising Bureau, in conjunction with Price Waterhouse Cooper has released the 2010 Revenue Report. There are many interesting takeaways from the findings. Some highlights:
Ad revenue grew by 14.9% over 2009 Revenue. This is partially due to the fact that 2009 revenues actually dropped off from 2008.

For the first time ever, internet has surpassed newspapers in ad revenue. Television still holds the revenue lead but that may very well change come next year.
2010 marked the first year that mobile advertising was tracked in this study. Mobile marketing accounted for approximately $600 million in revenue. To check out the full report you can visit the IAB website.

The cost per click when using a pay per click campaign is very easy to figure out. After all, it is stated clearly in the campaign you set up. More important however, is the effective cpc. In order to figure out our effective cpc we need to know three things. First, the number of clicks we have on our campaign. Second, the actual cost that we paid per click. The third and perhaps most important part is having a certain action in mind. This action could be a purchase, email sign up, or anything else that is easily definable.
